ASOS AW12 Men's Lookbook
Featuring four of ASOS' in-house collections.
The ASOS men's AW12 lookbook is here, complimenting the women's one that we posted a few weeks ago. The lookbook brings together four of ASOS' in-house collections, and will start dropping online from next month.
'Stonemasters' has a pretty specific reference point — rock climbing in the 70s — which is where the nylon jackets, down-filled vests, fleece parkas, Mexican textiles, and mountaineering boot cross high top trainers come into play. We're guessing 'Relics' collection takes cues from Gucci's FW12/13 collection shown at Milan earlier this year, what with the velvet, stovepipe pants, skinny suits, paisley, tapestry and floral wallpaper-y prints. Also included are an excellent pair of patent Jil Sander-esque creeper brogues. The 'Northern Quarter' collection is inspired by Manchester kids, so there's fun fluros and geometrics, while 'Indigo Khaki'is all about vintage washes, chambray, heavy cotton, and camo.
We've seen this stuff in the flesh, and can confirm that it is pretty good-looking.
