Stella McCartney Resort 2013 Lookbook

Pastel + hologram + leopard print = the best ever.

Stella McCartney's brilliance in the tailoring department, when balanced against a sweet palette and dramatic prints, makes for a heightened collection that might even one-up her previous efforts. She's taken the soft route with colours this spring-time around, with pastel-blocking oversized knits, eggshell blues, hot pinks and hyper-yellows. There's plenty of linen and neutral tones, a nod to two of the collection's inspirations, calico fabrics and toile.

The other source of inspiration is interiors, which we can see in the popping prints derived from retro upholstery and floral wallpaper. Also present throughout the range is a particularly bright and daring leopard print, along with a holographic reflective surface that adds to the line’s fantastical allure. How can a collection contain so many diverse elements and still manage to deliver a cohesive range of looks that are ultra fresh and modern rather than trippy vintage? We have no answer. It's simply the almighty power of Stella!
