What are you doing this Friday at 2am AEST? Going out on the town, you say? Wrong answer! You're staying home and watching a live stream of Prada's SS13 show, like the true fashion nerd that you secretly are. The innovative fashion house (who also make great films) put a little announcement on their Facebook page about it last night, and it received a mixture of hysteria/joy. One fan summed it up nicely by commenting, "SCREAMING".
If the idea of watching the runway show at the SAME TIME as the fashion elite (and without Anna Dello Russo's giant hat blocking your view) isn't appealing enough, just think of how seriously amazing Prada shows always are — they're like the Christmas morning of fashion week. Maybe there'll be famous celebrities modelling the collection, like the heartthrobs of the silver screen that walked in their last menswear show (Adrien Brody, Gary Oldman, Willem Dafoe, Emile Hirsch and Tim Roth). We're still reeling from their FW12 womenswear show, in which a huge 70s inspired rug set the scene of a geometric, retro-infused wonderland of David Bowie-esque sophistication.
