Sun Studios Assistants' Exhibition
The work of Sydney's most talented assistants comes out of the darkroom and into the gallery.
Sun Studios Assistants' Award and Exhibition opened on 9 June 9, and aims to celebrate the photographic talents of the often-overlooked assistants. The opening night gave nine finalists an avenue to show their skill to potential clients and agents, but their works will be on display until 30 June.
The were also some pretty sweet prizes up for grabs on the opening night of the exhibition. The grand prize went to Ted O'Donnell (image 5), who scored a Canon 7D camera body and Broncolor Lighting Kit. Second prize went to Simon Loymeyer, who won himself a day in Sun Studios with all equipment hire.
