terry richardson & lady gaga's book
Listen to her reading, plus a preview of new clip.
Terry Richardson and Lady Gaga are a pair who seem to have mastered the art of making people slightly uncomfortable (or totally weirded/grossed/freaked/creeped out) in the name of 'artistic expression'. Naturally, they've decided to make a book together, and with the release of Lady Gaga x Terry Richardson looming next week, Gaga has recorded herself giving an intimate reading of the foreword she wrote.
The reading certainly isn't lacking in Gagaesque profound statements e.g. "I have learned through him that shame is an obsolete notion, and apology is an injustice to any performance," and she's definitely not all talk. Gaga recently admitted that Richardson, who was given unprecedented access to her private life for the past ten months, filmed her during some very intimate moments including uh... peeing in a cup. She stated, "My favourite thing, honestly, is that he loved the fans. He shot the fans the same way he shot me: with no pretense... He would come backstage and he would say, 'Oh my God, the fans!' And I'd say, 'I know what you just photographed.' And he's say, 'Baby, wow! And then he'd film me, like, peeing in a cup and, like, ridiculous things." We guess it's all just part of the creative process?

Gaga has also just released the first minute and 48 seconds of her new video 'Marry The Night: The Prelude Pathetique'. Set to be her longest video yet - the prologue alone is over seven minutes! - it includes Gaga's commentary like, "When I look back on my life, it's not that I don't want to see things exactly as they happened, it's just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully the lie of it all is much more honest, because I invented it." With even more of Gaga's profound statements, some next season Calvin Klein and custom-made Giuseppe Zanotti, don't miss it below:
