The Beastie Boys' Action Figure Music Video

These are definitely not dolls.

These are "ACTION figures, NOT dolls!". This is what the Beastie Boys want you to know before watching their new music video, directed by Spike Jonze. Not so much a music video as it is an "explicit action adventure spectacular", it 8 action figures of all three Beastie Boys (and one of their collaborator Santigold) being ambushed by an army of equally non-doll-like, rap-hating assailants to the tune of "Don't Play No Game That I Can't Win" from the Hot Sauce Committee Part 2 album.

This short adventure spectacular precedes the "epic length" video with even more explicit action due to arrive later this month, but this one is pretty adventure-packed itself. MCA, Ad-Rock and Mike D are all equally adept at the flying fox, extreme sledging and target shooting, and their ability to throw convincing gangsta signs despite lacking individually-moving fingers is almost as impressive as Santigold's personalised knuckle duster.
