tiger translate artist call-out

It has come to my attention that the calibre of great art can be enhanced by delicious beer, and that the joys of great beer are (true to the form of symbiotic relationships) enriched by  the process of appreciating great art. Tiger Beer have recognised this highly plausible and well researched theory, and have decided to add some legitimacy to it in the form of Tiger Translate, a competition that seeks to harmonise and celebrate cultural diversity in the artistic realm. Run annually, Tiger Translate calls on all kinds of artists — illustrators, painters, photographers, graffiti artists — to create art based around a decided theme. This year, the theme is growth, an integral element of human existence, and all artwork will showcase different interpretations.

If you’re over 18 and interested, you can enter until September 30 through Tiger Beer’s Facebook fan page. Elements for the artworks can be downloaded from the Tiger Beer website. The winner will be notified on October 6, and will be treated to a trip to Asia in 2012 to collaborate with Tiger Translate winners from around the world. It will be nothing short of a party, and provide the means for a gentle push in the direction of international exposure.
