Tome AW12 Lookbook
The latest lookbook from Ramon Martin and Ryan Lobo's NY-based label.
Ramon Martin and Ryan Lobo met at university in the late nineties when they were both studying fashion, and more than a decade later Tome was born. Debuting for SS12, the two Australians decided to base their label out of New York. Ramon, who most recently held post as Design Director at Derek Lam, has also worked with the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier and Alberta Ferrari while Ryan is the former editor of Pages, and has a background as a luxury buyer, stylist and photographer (having contributed to Oyster!). The AW12 collection, of which we attended the NYFW presentation for, is inspired by Cold War Russia and the biography of dancer Rudolf Nureyev, and there's a harmonious mix between luxury (e.g. gold brocade and bronze lame) and utilitarian (e.g. military green, workwear-inspired pieces).
