Topman Launches Magazine

An online monthly for men of style.

They're world leaders in bridging the divide between high-end and affordable menswear, and now Topman is filling another gap for the stylish young man with a young man's salary. Yesterday, Topman's digital magazine Generation launched with a double edition, pitched by Topman's Design Director Gordon Richardson as a "monthly interactive multi-media platform changing the online reading experience with a unique cultural insight into the worlds of fashion, film, music and art."

The first edition of the magazine, designed by Saatchi & Saatchi, includes interviews with indie pop duo Cults, Kirsten Dunst, fashion photographer Kate Cox, the Jesus and Mary Chain, and even the legendary Yoko Ono. There's also a recollection of a music editor's first meeting with Amy Winehouse, plus a list of the greatest cult films ever made (this week you will want to watch the gothic vengeance flick indirectly responsible for killing Bruce Lee's son, and a psychedelic, bizarre exemplifier of the cultural collision between the beatnik generation and the criminal east end underground). So basically Generation is cooler than a pair of perforated oxfords and just as tempting for girls to appropriate as their own.

The magazine branches pretty much every platform except print, without the need to visit any app store. As if we needed another excuse to get excited about the British giant's Melbourne launch later this month.
