Trophy Wife Nail Art: Yolandi Visser, Chloë Sevigny, Grace Jones, Vivienne Westwood & Björk

The nail art genius interprets five of her favourite women.

Get your nails done at Trophy Wife Nail Art is not your usual nail salon experience. For starters, the studio has astro-turf on the floor. Then there's the notable lack of toxic-smelling fumes and that production line feeling you get at your average salon. You book ahead, show up on time with pictures or ideas on your iPhone ready to show the maestro that is Trophy Wife, Chelsea Bagan. The best part is that you leave incredibly happy; either with the perfect execution of what you originally wanted, or with something radically different that you never even thought possible. Burgers and fries? No biggie. Hello Kitty? Sure. Shaquille and the other ballers jumping for air? Why not? Linda Jackson inspired print nails... If you dream it she'll do it, and do it real good. If you don't believe us, just ask Anna Plunkett of Romance Was Born, who, after getting some quality time with the lady, is now besotted with the designs. When you combine amazing nail art and amazing women, you get some pretty amazing results. We asked Trophy Wife to interpret five awesome women with her brushes.

Yo-Landi Vi$$er

"I first became aware of Yo-Landi Vi$$er because my brother was obsessed with Die Antwoord and showed me heaps of their YouTube clips. I couldn't work out (and kind of still can't) if they were serious or not. Now I just think she is amazing."

Chloë Sevigny

"I think her fashion sense is amazing and I feel like there is always something demure about her, but I'm pretty sure there isn't. So I'm still trying to figure out how she does it."

Björk

"When I originally chose Björk I did a lot of Google searching and just got so excited at the colour possibilities. I have always been so blown away by her stage costuming and use of colour, so this felt pretty great for me."

Grace Jones

"She is truly terrifying and mystifying. In the best of way of course..."

Vivienne Westwood

"Her prints and her style are so iconic. She's unique as a designer in that she's just as famous for being herself as she is for her collections. Love her or hate her, she is who she is and doesn't mind if you decide it's not for you."
