Vika Gazinskaya SS13 Lookbook
The Russian designer draws inspiration from the romance of travel.
When we interviewed Russian designer Vika Gazinskaya for Oyster #99 we asked her about her childhood in the Soviet Union: "There was no fashion," she said. Fitting, then, that her latest collection draws heavily on the romance of travel. The collection is whimsical — like the scribbled creations of a child given free-reign over her mother's design studio — but it works. Expect to soon see Miroslava Duma and the rest of the Russians wearing these soft bell-shaped frocks and voluminous two pieces meticulously embroidered with hand-drawn clouds, rolling hills, and little cottages.
