Watch: Daphne Guinness Cover Patti Smith
The beer heiress plans to record an album of rock 'n' roll and opera.
In more fashion meets music news, Daphne Guinness has performed an impromptu cover of Patti Smith's 'Because The Night'. The eccentric beer heiress took to the stage at Lower East Side club Arlene’s Grocery, but not before Tweeting "I am really nervous... help." You wouldn't be able to tell that the beer heiress suffered stage fright from watching her perform, though. With her deep, raspy voice and Riot Grrrl confidence, her take probably did Patti proud. According to her Twitter, Daphne is a classically trained singer and plans to release an album soon, saying "this is the beginning" and "I am going to record this summer... rock and roll I guess, and some opera."
She also performed a cover of 'White Rabbit' by Jefferson Airplane:
