Watch: 'Liquorice' by Azealia Banks
The first video from '1991', styled by Nicola Formichetti and directed by Rankin.
Azealia Banks has dropped the video for her track 'Liquorice' from her 1991 mixtape. Shot by fashion photographer Rankin, and styled/creative directed by Nicola Formichetti, it really didn't stand a chance of being anything less than amazing. The video was shot in Paris, and features some good old Americana and Azealia even has a Wild West showdown with a double of herself.
Just because she's a 'vocalist' now and not a rapper, doesn't mean she's not one of the baddest bitches in the game. Fact. Sampling 'Pinapple Crush' by Nottingham producer Lone, the mermaid-loving 19-year-old is equal parts Missy Elliott and Aaliyah, as she sings, spits and curses in that signature way we've quickly come to know and love.
