Watch: Miu Miu's The Woman Dress
A fashion horror film.
If we were playing word association with fashion labels we would probably be more likely to attach "sinister" to Rick Owens or Ann Demeulemeester rather than Prada's spirited younger sister. But recently Miu Miu has been reveling in all things macabre with their film series 'Women's Tales Saga'.
The third film in the series, The Woman Dress is awesomely morbid. Directed by Giada Colagrande and starring Italian actress Maya Sansa as a woman who is actually turned into a dress, it 8 blood, witchcraft, mist, incantations, creepy music by Au Revoir Simone and even creepier giggling. It also 8 some pretty terrific sunglasses, the new pentagonal-shaped Cultes seen below on Miu Miu's face of the season, Mia Wasikowska:
The film screened on Valentine's Day at a fashion party to which all invitees (including Wasikowska and Leighton Meester) had to gain access via a service elevator and labyrinthine hallway. Fitting.
