Watch: Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 12
A fashion kaleidoscope.
Prabal Gurung is the latest designer to release a Pre-Fall fashion film and it's one that sets a very high standard for those still to come this year. Directed by Dan Martensen, the film 8 Prabal Gurung's Pre-Fall 12 collection and a slew of beauties from Ford Models including Hanne Gaby, Alanna Zimmer, Kate King and Ming Xi. The film is set to the tune of Pictureplane's 'Body Mod' and employs a fashion-forward kaleidoscope effect that reflects many of the collection's prints and patterns.
Strong yet subtle femininity abounds in this clip, as the innocence of pastels is delicately offset with the strength of leather and fur. The models twirl and dance their way through their fashion kaleidoscope while peeking coquettishly out from behind their beautiful shades in a testament to what is a very strong yet playful collection.
We can't wait to see more of Prabal Gurung and it seems we need not wait too long. Last week the designer posted a photo on his Tumblr of a model wearing one of the label's first t-shirts, with a caption reading: "SP12 production fittings. Hope u guys luv these T shirts we r doing the 1st time as much as I do." And that we do! Though, we might only be affording one of these tees because apparently they'll be selling for $200 to $300 a pop.
