Watch: Ryan McGinley x Sigur Rós

The photographer has made a video for 'Varúð'.

Ryan McGinley has made a video for Sigur Rós' recent track 'Varúð'. To complement the release of Valtari, the Icelandic band commissioned a dozen filmmakers to create music videos for the album’s eight tracks.

Ryan's contribution to the 'Valtari Mystery Film Experiment' is a dreamy exploration of the streets of Manhattan, tracking a girl with hair so golden she is most probably a manga character.

He wrote on the band's website, "This piece is my poem to New York City. I wanted to bring a childhood innocence to the streets, through a character whose own light and wonder effects the world around her. I'm always interested in an atmosphere where dreams and reality mingle on equal terms."

This isn't the first time Ryan and Sigur Rós have worked together — in 2008 he took the photo for their album cover Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, and the video for 'Gobbledigook' (from the same album) was inspired by his photography.
