weekend playlist: sex
Here is a transcript of an actual Skype conversation that I recently had with a friend of mine:
Him: Have you seen the Whitesnake video for "Here I Go Again"?
Me: No... I'll watch it, hang on.
Him: Share your screen with me, I want to listen to your reaction. David Coverdale's girlfriend is in it.
Me: (watching) OMG, is she a ballet dancer?
Him: Yes... a ballet dancer.
Me: Ohhhhhhhh... she's a stripper.
And so here, in order, are my top 7 music videos that will satisfy your every carnal urge.
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again (1987)
The aforementioned star of the video was lead singer David Coverdale's girlfriend (and later wife) Tawny Kitaen. She looks a bit rough now so best stick to watching her dancing on the bonnet of Coverdale's Jaguar XJ - over and over and over again.
?Aerosmith - Crazy? (1994)
Aerosmith made Alicia Silverstone famous but I will always struggle with the sight of Liv Tyler stripping to her own father's music. Hot!
George Michael - Freedom! 90 (1990)
I could tell you all about how this video symbolised a turning point in Michael's career but you wouldn't care because it's full of bloody supermodels. Yay!
D'Angelo - Untitled (2000)
D'Angelo was actually highly introverted and was terrified about filming, despite training for months beforehand. It's refreshing to see a male body being objectified, and the video is so intensely voyeuristic that it makes the song even more powerful.

The White Stripes - I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself? (2003)
Kate Moss! Dancing! On a pole!
Duran Duran - Girls On Film (1981) (REALLY NOT VERY SAFE FOR WORK) (unless you work at Oyster, obviously)
Duran Duran were unknown in the US before this release but the video made the world take notice when it was banned by everyone. They did make a much more family-friendly version but the one you want is this one. It includes pillow-fighting, mud wrestling, and ice cubes... just watch it.
Madonna - Justify My Love (1990)
Madonna cleverly made more money by selling the VHS (wrapped in black plastic) than by airing it on MTV (where it was banned). This is top of most of these sorts of lists and for good reason.
