Where's Wally - The Film

Hollywood gets nostalgic, we choose some potential leading men.

Childhood nostalgia must be in the air in Hollywood at the moment. After last week's news that Walden Entertainment was starting a project to update Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? with Jennifer Lopez as producer and possible star, this week MGM has secured the film rights to another nostalgic childhood activity that involved looking for a person in a distinctive outfit: Where's Waldo? (or Where's Wally? to those of us who grew up outside of the US). According to a studio press release, the film will be shot as a live-action film and the storyline will be based around a "worldwide adventure." Maybe the film will answer those lingering childhood questions about Wally, like: Who is he writing his post cards too? How can they see him? And why does he keep on getting lost in a seething mass of humanity?

We think Jennifer Lopez would make an excellent Carmen Sandiego, and we've come up with some suggestions for the role of Wally below depending on the genre that the studio goes for:
