If you don't like Bob Marley then you actually have no soul. In what I believe is proof of this fact, I just said "Guess what time it is? It's Bob Marley time!" in the office and people actually cheered. No one has ever cheered at anything I have ever said before. Queenies — our favourite local pan-tropical themed eatery (only local pan-tropical themed eatery?) — is celebrating what would have been the freedom fighter/stoner icon's birthday with a big old Jamaican feast.
The diner, which sits on top of The Forresters pub in Surry Hills, is putting on a one-off four-course meal created just for the event by some very inventive and witty chefs. Held next Wednesday 6 February, taste sensations and positive vibes are guaranteed. For just $40 a head, you'll enjoy shares, snacks, a main and a desert comprised of meals with great titles such as Cheer Up Cucumber, Goat Stand Up Patties, and Shrimp Shake Down Party. There is even a desert called Sweet Herb Sandwich. Appropriate. On the night, there will be frozen drink specials PLUS Bob Marley's greatest hits will soothe your soul. Yeah mon.
